Determine your tasks before the work day starts. When engaged in day to day business activities it’s easy to forget what needs to be done. The screaming kid, the annoying customer and your daily chores tend to grab the attention.

You forget what you should have done last week. The important report is on the backburner yet another day. Write out your tasks and when you finish each one, cross it off the list.

Time Your Tasks

Time your tasks. Take the time to write a schedule which works for you. An hour per job is an effective starting point. Either add 15 minutes or take it down to 45 minutes to a half hour.

Set an alarm to go off when your time is up. An alarm is a wake-up call to your thoughts. You will be tempted to get attached to one or more tasks but all are equally important. Remember, it’s not what you do but the manner in which you do it. Do everything in a certain way brings the desired results.

A work at home entrepreneur needs to know when to move on to the next job. Timing makes this possible.

Take Adequate Rest Time

Take at least 5 – 15 minutes of rest per hour.
